Description
with handle 1 3/4" across at widest diameter
While there is a bit of damage on the bottom edge
called "handa" in Japanese
the bottom half reveals a rim of blue-green naturally dyed ash splint
but rather just enhances the aura of this terrific plate
Old Mickey Mouse Ears Smokehouse Lock with Key round flat basket with handle 1 3/4" acrossThis old lock is somewhat rusty, but with a little effort it still locks and unlocks great, and I really love the fully rounded "ears" on it that really make it look just like a Mickey Mouse silhouette. I've learned these old locks are often referred to as "smokehouse locks because people commonly used them to lock the meat in their smokehouses to prevent poaching. Iron and brass, and at least a hundred years old I believe. 3 5 8" tall x 2 9 16" wide
