have something of a menagerie of little animals

and are likely a mixed pair--one is a bit grayer in tone and the other flecked a bit more brown--but they are of the same size

imparting her with a great sense of strength and force (she rather reminds me of a figure from a Thomas Hart Benton painting

I at least find it an extraordinary evocative image, all the more so for the "Corners, Tuesday Aug." written in pencil at the bottom, and really want to know the whole story of this man's life. I assume he is training a dog (?) to jump through the hoop he holds so tightly in one hand, with his other hand so perfectly poised it kills me. And then the whole thing taking place over a gnarly barbed
