It reminds me a lot of Art Deco ornaments

I was pretty excited to find a box full of these handmade slides at the flea market this weekend--a box in which many were rolled up in newspaper from 1945

including for the fact that they are just one of many things that "match" between them

Oil on Board Peaches Still Life 4oth birthdat A Brown who did themI love an antique still life painting of fruit, and this pile of peaches with purple fig at right was beautifully executed, with a richness perfectly befitting ripe peaches! It hasn't been cleaned, and is a somewhat dark, but get it in the right light and those peaches are luminous! (Of course one could have it cleaned, but I personally like the aura and atmospherics of it just as it is, as if painted in candlelight to begin with and meant to be
