Discreet but not invisible wood is present on the overtly floral-suffused nose that displays background hints of lemon rind and a phenolic character (think olive oil nuances)

The 2000 La Dominique is a wine that I thoroughly enjoyed out of barrel but never tasted in bottle
Vougeraie, Vougeot Clos Prieure Rouge Vintage:2020 Discreet but not invisible wood(a monopole of the domaine; 35% whole clusters). This is also distinctly earthy with its ripe and very fresh aromas of red and dark pinot fruit that are cut with whiffs of violet and a whisper of oak influence. The delicious middle weight flavors possess a bit more density along with fine delineation on the mildly austere, focused and more structured finale. Once again, this is worthy of your interest as its quite good for its level.
