There is a tiny bit of warping to the lid such that is closes a hair short of flush on the left side
I believe the piece dates to the 1960s-70s
and I have a bit of a hunch they were made by the same person
it could either be hung on the wall or used as a rug--I'd especially love it as the first thing one crosses walking in the door
I have really fallen in love with this piece
